Our Team
Murphy, McKay & Associates has over 35 years combined experience at
the management level......
 |
Dave Mckay — Chief Executive Officer
Dave joined Murphy, McKay in early 1996 with a mandate to redirect
its focus from computer equipment sales and service to IT consulting
services.
|

|
|
With twenty-five years experience in business management
beginning with an international consulting firm and leading to CEO
positions with three successive, rapidly growing organizations he brought
a high level of passion to this challenge. That
passion was to insure that clients received the best advice and support
relating to Information Technology, a function of their business he
knew from experience could be either a significant lever to profitable
growth or an obstacle.
With the changes in technology since 1996,
organizations increasingly had the possibility to level the playing
field with their much larger competitors. Often,
however, they did not have the internal resources or knowledge base
to take advantage of those opportunities. Our goal was to be
a resource to these organizations and work with them as business partners,
bringing appropriate, cost effective technology to advance their business. We
did not want to be viewed as technology vendors, but rather as solution
providers.
We have worked very hard to insure we attract and
train outstanding technical people who combine those strong technical
skills with a passionate desire to communicate in understandable language
and to make technology approachable and useful to management and users. Our
clients tell us we are succeeding in that objective. Dave holds B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. |

drawing upon his experiences in the services industries that have made
up his career. Tim has been employed be several large organizations
during his career. He was an executive at Exxon, Control Data, Pacific
Telesis, and Nortel Communications with a variety of jobs most of which
involved direct client support or managing groups that faced the clients.
Most of the jobs he held with these firms began with startups that later
became part of the larger organizations mostly due to acquisitions. It
was this exposure that set the foundations for his venture into the entrepreneurial
experience that is now MMA.
